Just for a moment, I heard it all clearly, the music of the angels. There must have been a crack in the heavens then for in that moment, sweet smelling air coursing through my lungs and with this amazed feeling all around, I caught a glimpse of eternity.
Doesn’t matter that it was for a second. A second is a lifetime if it should ever happen to reveal what one has been longing for, thirsting for, hoping against hope is true.
It didn’t matter that after that, the rude horns of the taxi vans and their attendant touts barged into my reverie. It didn’t really count for a lot that it started raining then and I had to run down the road from that Shell or is it Esso Corner stage, laptop-laden heaviness dangling on my side in a black bag.
I would find shelter and I would wait out the rain. And my heart would resound with the enormity of my find. I had looked into forever and my faith had been restored.
Just for a moment, I saw an angel.
